Sit Down Baby! Is a four-piece band from Providence Rhode Island but their influences are drawn from Memphis, Mississippi to North Carolina and beyond.  Their hard driving, out of control, roadhouse approach to the music (complete with a tuba as bass and sleazy slide guitar) makes them unique amongst other bands that focus on roots and blues.  Wherever they travel, from West Virginia to Vermont the crowd’s heads spin when they hear SDB classics like “The Dirty Hooch”, “Barbed Wire Ring Around My Arse”  or “Take Me With You”.

Nationally Sit Down Baby has been the opening act at the Charlie West Blues Festival in Charleston WV (2011) and for the last four years they have been part of the family at the Foothills Blues Festival in Pomeroy Ohio.  They have shared the stage with Bob Margolin, Larry Garner, Sasquatch and the Sickabillys, Lil Brian and the Zydeco Travelers, Joe Louis Walker and others.
